Fun in the Sun at the Beach

I made this 2 pg LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Decorative Edge Scissors Challenge. I used deco scissors on 5 of the 7 pictures. All the pics were taken at Ft Macon State Park on June 30, 2010. I went with my sister and brother-in-law to the beach. I decided to type my journaling out on the computer. On page 1, the top pic is of me being silly, the bottom left pic is of my sister, Emily, and I in our matching bathing suits and the bottom right pic is of the beautiful ocean!  On page 2, the top left pic is of Emily talking to Scott (all you can see is his back in the picture, I was sitting in my beach chair taking the pic), the top right pic is of a military helicopter flying over, the bottom left pic is of Emily and Scott, and the bottom right pic is of me trying to keep the sun  out of my eyes while getting some sun and you can see the back of my beach chair in the pic! I've been following the I'd Rather Be At the Beach Blog Hop (http://createserendipity.blogspot.com/2011/05/id-rather-be-at-beach-blog-hop.html) and decided to do a beach layout myself! The hop started yesterday and ends May 22. Feel free to join the hop! TFL and have a good weekend! :)

My Recent LO

I made this LO for Scrappin-n-Chattin's Mother LO Challenge. I decided to use "Mama & Grandmama" as my title, because that's who's in the pic. I don't call either one Mother or Grandmother. The paper I used is Cloud 9 Design Sparkle Celebration Dots Cinnamon Stick. I bought it from Big Lots in an Assorted Colorbok Paper Stack. The journaling states that "This was taken one Thanksgiving. They were getting Thanksgiving dinner ready." My mom is on the left in the pic and my grandmama on the right. The journaling block was actually a sheet from K&Company Journaling Book I just cut out the part I wanted! The Thanksgiving stickers- pumpkin and the cornucopia are Sticko Thanksgiving. The flower stickers are Basic Grey Pyrus. The letters for the title are from A Family Affair Collection that I have used in previous LOs. The blue mat for the pic is Colorbok Textured Cardstock. I've been wanting to use this paper since I bought it and thought I'd use it for this LO. I haven't used PP in awhile! I thought this paper was appropriate since the colors match the pic and it's "Cinnamon Stick" to match the kitchen feel of the pic!

I can't believe Mother's Day is already almost here! I've got to find something to buy my mom soon! I have a few ideas. I just don't know when I'm going to shop. I'm working all week at both jobs. I'll get her something. I'm thinking a new camera. She wanted to buy one for herself, but hasn't yet. My grandmama is getting married in June so she will definitely need a camera! Yes, I said it, my grandmama is getting married! She was setup on a blind date a few months ago and they've been spending a lot of time together since then and decided to get married. He's a little older, but is very nice! They plan on having a small private wedding at her house with only the family invited. He has 6 children and she has 5 and grandchildren on both sides. It's going to be one crowded house! I can't wait! You better believe there will be pictures to come! I hope all the mom's reading this has a great Mother's Day!
