Family Time is Good Time

I've been wanting to scrap these pics and finally got around to them! I just recently bought some Washi tape or Studio G Decorative Tape that I wanted to use and I think it goes well with this layout! The paper is also Studio G- it was a part of an autumn themed collection. It doesn't have a name, but the papers are all fall colors. The picture mats are also from the same collection. The title "Family Time is Good Time" is K&Company Emma Rose Word Embossed Stickers. I thought it fit this LO since Tyler is being so silly and my aunt is also in the top right corner who is obviously family. Everyone has always thought I should have been her daughter since I look like her and get my hair color from her. I sent this same picture to my friend, Laura, in a text and she responded, "Is that your tail?" I didn't get it at first, but looking back I see what's she's talking about! The ribbon on the journaling tag is pointing to my aunt's rear! Not what I was intending to do when I put the tag there! LOL! She would notice that!! The tag didn't look right turned sideways in the bottom right corner, so I overlapped the tag and the pictures a little. I wanted to put some washi tape in the bottom corner anyway! I also put a long strip behind the 2 pictures of Tyler on the left. This kind was only $0.99 at Walmart! I love finding good deals at Walmart on the scrapbooking aisle! The tag is K&Company Cut & Paste Tag Pad. I typed my journaling and adhered it with my XYRON 1.5" Create-A-Sticker maker using repositional adhesive (I'm glad I bought repositional, b/c I had to move the strips a few times to fit on the tag!) - "Karen came to Raleigh to be with us for Daddy's surgery. She's making her coffee before she leaves to go back home. Tyler was being silly with his toys on the kitchen floor after breakfast." This is one of the only non-floral tags in the pad! The ribbon is JoAnn Craft Essentials White/Black Papercrafting Ribbon- it's almost gone I've had it for so long that I forgot where I bought it. I know I didn't buy it from JoAnn's. You don't forget going in there! :) The charm was a RAK along with some fire charms and kitties from Sandi (http://lifeatthebeach51.blogspot.com/). I have a close-up picture of it below. The coffee cup is a Two Peas in A Bucket flair collection freebie. I tried finding the link, but can't seem to find it. They're supposed to be printed in color, but since our color ink is low- black works for now and I colored it with a Creative Memories Cocoa Fine-tip Classic pen.

Close-up of the little boy charm.
I'm 9 followers away from my 75 follower giveaway! Maybe I will take a picture of my giveaway and make a post tomorrow and I will get my followers! I'm getting excited for the Carolina/NC State basketball game tonight! They're 2 rival colleges here in NC. I'm a Carolina fan and Carolina is on a roll- they haven't lost a game since December! Not long ago, I know, but they've played a lot of games since then. Anyway, have a great night! Go CAROLINA TARHEELS!! :)

12 Tags of Tim Holtz

I made this for a challenge with The Craft Hole (https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/thecrafthole/) on Facebook for the 12 Tags of Tim Holtz. We were to make a tag (6 1/4 x 3 1/8 in) based on the 12 Tags of Tim Holtz (http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-february/). If we don't have the same supplies he used we were to improvise since no one has the same supplies that Tim has! I didn't have a tag that size, so I made a pattern using 8.5 x 11 typing paper and then traced the pattern on a piece of patterned paper. The paper is from Studio G Valentine's kit that I bought from Walmart a few years back. The sentiment "There's no greater love than to love and be loved." is from A Glimpse Inside (http://www.aglimpseinsideblog.com/2013/01/valentines-day-chalkboard-printables.html) it can be printed many different sizes if downloaded, but if you click on print it prints out a full size 8.5 x 11 page. I did that first and realized I didn't want it that big, so I downloaded it to my computer and printed it out in wallet size.  I decided to use my Stickles to give the tag some shine! I used Jim Holtz Distress Stickles Vintage Photo, Stickles Pink, Stickles Crystal, and Jim Holtz Distress Stickles Dusty Concord. The ribbon is American Crafts Peachy Keen and the brad is Making Memories Antique Copper Mini Circle. I glued the sentiment down with Elmer's Washable School Glue stick. I have decided that if I use this tag in my scrappin' I will add some cardboard to the back or some stronger cardstock. I look forward to making more of these now that I know that they're easy to make! :) TFL! I just recently made a purchase from Close to My Heart and received my shipment today so be looking for a post of those goodies soon! :)

Princess Birthday

I made this card for Miyah, one of the little girls in my Sunday School class. Her 5th birthday party is Saturday at ChicFilA and she's invited the class to come. This is the first party that I have been invited to from any of my students so I'm excited! I bought her a little Melissa & Craig Decorate Your Own flower box from TJ Maxx- I didn't take a picture of it since it's still in plastic their might be a glare. I think she will enjoy it! I used Best Occasions Pearlescent Paper  for the cover and the dancing Cinderella is from Sandy Lion Disney Princess Dancing PP. The princess crown and the castle/crown are from my stash- I bought it for an 8x8 album I made for Haylee and I lost the original packaging. The butterfly sticker is Recollections Kids Sticker Album. The number 5 is Simple Stories Happy Day Expressions Cardstock Stickers that I won from Housecalls by: Scrappin Madge August 2013 Life of the Party kit (http://heartstringdesigns.blogspot.com). The pink crown ribbon is Recollections. The Happy Birthday vellum is from DCWV Colored Vellum Quote Stack Card Sayings and I used Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue to attach it to a strip from Recollections Butterfly Wings Cardstock Paper that was originally 4.5 x 6.5in. I then used Recollections Foam Squares to give the "Happy Birthday" some dimension. Now for the inside of the card.
This is actually the card base and is DCWV Multi Dots Nana's Kids Print PP that I bought from JoAnn's. This is the top of the inside spread. The make a wish sticker is from my stash- I lost the original packaging. Yes, you can tell I really dug through my stash for this card. This is the first card I have made for a child so I was stressing a little bit before I made it. Now that I got my "rant" out of the way, back to my card! The cake sticker is Stickeroni from Hallmark.
The balloon, party hat on the above picture, gift, and the little sticker holding the twine on the balloon are from a birthday collection from my stash. The twine was given to me from Heather (http://heathernovinger.blogspot.com/) from a blog prize I won from her awhile back. The journaling card-where I wrote my note after taking the picture is from my stash- I thought the little design goes with the princess theme. The theme of Miyah's party Saturday is princess so I think I nailed it with this card! She loves to dance is why I included Cinderella on the front. TFL and have a great weekend!

Sweet Birthday Memories

This layout is of my mom's birthday this past year. The PP is Momenta A Family Affair 5Pg Kit.The ribbon is American Crafts Premium Ribbon that I got on clearance at TJ Maxx. I believe I got the paper set from TJM as well. The title "sweet birthday memories" is actually a journaling card- I just decided to leave the border off the since the paper is so busy and I didn't want to cover the corner- it's from the August Life of the Party Simple Stories Happy Day Signature Elements 4x6 Journaling Card Elements that I won from Housecalls by: Scrappin' Madge (http://heartstringdesigns.blogspot.com/) and the big pink paper doily is from the same kit! The "mom" sticker is K&Company Family Mini Accents. The party hat and the gift stickers are from my stash- I've lost the original packaging. The flower brad is K&Company Butterflies & Flowers Brads. The journaling sticker/circle and the stickers on both sides are also part of A Family Affair Kit. The green floral arrangement is Studio G and the gift brad is Martha Stewart Crafts Modern Festive Fabric Brads. I wrote on the journaling circle- Mama's 58th Birthday! Her cake was Purple Velvet. Her cake was bought at the last minute, because her birthday is 3 days before Christmas and she usually doesn't want a cake. Dustin called me while we were in Walmart and asked if we were getting her a cake. His dad wanted to get her gift there and I already had her gift. I bought her a notepad with a big "L" on it and a pen that came with it and gave her one of my cards that I made. Dustin decided to get her a cake from Harris Teeter and picked this cake out. He wanted to make sure she liked red velvet cake which this cake tasted just like, but was purple velvet. All this time my mom is sitting in the car with Emily and he's texting her and talking to her on the phone and then called me- all without my mom knowing what was going on! LOL! I had to buy some things for myself in Walmart. She loved the cake and all her gifts! I don't remember all her gifts, but the main thing is she had a good day! Oh, the purple crystals on the outside of the cake were pieces of candy and the icing was cream cheese icing, of course! Yummy!! :)   Please don't forget to leave me some love/comments and become a follower if you aren't already. I want to giveaway a lucky crafter a chipboard album or 2 and maybe some stickers- once I hit 75 followers. I'll take a picture soon and post another entry about it here on my blog. TFL and have a great day! :)

All You Need Is Love

I'm entering the following layout in the current Unity Be Inspired Challenge (http://www.theunitystampco-challenge.blogspot.com/2014/02/may-hope-sustain-you.html) using the above color scheme and a Unity Stamp must have been used. I used Unity Berry Good Life.

I chose The Story Collection Pears PP since this LO is about Emily and Tyler- a little play on words! :) The title, "all you need is love" is Close to My Heart D0125 All You Need My Acrilix Clear Stamps that I stamped using VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment Ink onto Recollections Butterfly Wings 4.5 x 6.5" cardstock that I fussy cut around the stamped image. The Oh Dear Brother! and Like 2 peas in a pod stickers are K&Company Emma Rose Word Embossed Stickers. The tea kettle/tea cup is a Unity Berry Good Life stamp. I colored them in with American Crafts Chromatix all 3 shades of Grape Alcohol Blending Marker set and the stems are Creative Memories Olive Fine Tip Classic Pen & Sharpie 80s Glam Argyle Green Fine Point Marker. The sock monkey picture mat- top right corner- is DCWV All About Boys 12x12 stack and I just cut a piece out to fit behind the pic. The mat under the fish bowl pic is Doodlebug Design Inc Itty Bitty Bugs 8.5x11 PP that I cut down again to go behind the picture. The mat under the pic of Emily and Tyler is K&Company Urban Rhapsody and the Do More of what makes YOU happy is a journaling block from Hazel & Ruby (https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Hazel-Ruby/228544217275844)- they were a freebie and I can't find the actual post right now. The pic mat under the pic of Tyler is also K&Company Urban Rhapsody. The rub-on in the middle is Be Blessed Scrapbooking rub-ons "This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24. This is part of the kit I won from Helen (http://byheleng.wordpress.com) and Scrapping Everyday Miracles (http://scrappingeverydaymiracles.blogspot.com). The journaling tag is a Chevron Stripe Tag, I believe a Pinterest find, from The Cottage Market (http://www.thecottagemarket.com). I added a piece of pink twine that I won from Housecalls by: Scrappin Madge Hello Gorgeous September kit (http://www.heartstringdesignI think my journaling is neater typed since my handwrititng isn't so neat and I'm always rushed when I write out my own journaling- I wanted a pic of his shirt, because it said, "Single & Loving it". He didn't want me to take his picture so this is what I got anyway! :) Funny how he almost looks like the sock monkey, huh? His Auntie Cindy bought him the fish. She came down from CT to help take care of Tyler while Daddy was in the hospital. Tyler loves his Sissy Emily!

Here's a close-up of the title. I love CTMH stamps, don't you?!
Here's a close-up of the fish. Both of these actually died, but now he has a beta fish named Jake. So that's how I spent my Valentine's night- scrapping and watching The Last Song and The Prince & Me! I DVRd The Prince & Me 2 today and will watch it soon. While I have your attention, I've been thinking of doing a giveaway once I reach 75 followers. I'm only 11 away!! TFL and please help me get the word out about my giveaway! :)

14 Days of LOVE Blog Hop Day 13

Thank you for joining My Cricut Craft Room and the 14 Days of Love Blog Hop.

I made 2 cards and a pencil topper to share on today's Blog Hop. Make sure that you visit http://mycricutcraftrom.blogspot.com each day to see where to go for tomorrow's projects.
I used the above sketch from MojoMonday (http://mojomonday.blogspot.com) to make the first card and kinda drew from the same sketch on the second one. Now for my cards!
The first card I made for my sister, Emily, for Valentine's Day. The card base is Studio G and I added DCWV Scrapbook Kit in A Stack Love & Wedding Textured Cardstock 8x8 pad, the heart is also from the same stack pad. I just traced a Heidi Swapp Heart Stamp and cut it out of this paper that has love written in different languages and Te Amo in Spanish shows up well in the middle. I thought it was French, but I realize now I got my languages messed up! Ha! Emily took French in high school and knows a little Spanish. The ribbon is Bobbin Ribbon that I bought from Big Lots years ago and have never used it until this card! The pink/white paper ribbon cut-out is also DCWV Love & Wedding 8x8 pad. The buttons are from my stash, The Love tag is K&Company Tim Coffey Cottage Garden Journal Tag Pad and the Sister sticker is K&Company Emma Rose Word Embossed Stickers. I used Elmer's Washable Disappearing Purple School Glue Stick to glue everything down- found at Food Lion for less than $3!

For the inside, you see some of the red DCWV paper hanging over to give it a little color. The hearts are Martha Stewart Crafts. The butterfly and flower are Recollections Kids Sticker Book as is the sticker on the back of the card.

The stamp- Hero Arts Handmade From the Heart- I bought from JoAnn's and used VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment Ink to stamp it on the back of the card as my signature. For the year, 2014, my copyright, I used a Sharpie Fine Point Marker.
Here's the second card I have to share:
This card is for my dad & Tammy (my stepmom). The horizontal striped and dots paper is American Crafts Dots & Stripes 6x6 pad- a $2.00 clearance find at work/TJ Maxx! The tag is from my stash and so is the blue heart floating in the top right corner. The heart is from a Ellen Krans Me & My Big Ideas 8x8 Ellen's All Occasion Paper Pad. The tag is from my stash and I added some purple twine that I won from Helen (http://byheleng.wordpress.com)  from a prize with Scrapping Everyday Miracles (http://scrappingeverydaymiracles.blogspot.com). The ribbon is Wilton Romance Printed Self-Adhesive Ribbon. The heart is from may stash. The love ticket is a RAK from Nikki ( https://www.facebook.com/#!/nicholekoch1?fref=ts). The heart bling is from my stash. I used the same Elmer's Glue Stick as before to glue everything down except the ribbon.
You can see I let the corners hang over from the paper on the front to give the inside some color. The heart stickers are some stickers I bought from Walmart years ago- Hallmark Cards Inc. The I Heart U sticker is from Momenta ATD Everyday Super Sticker Pack Assorted- another TJ Maxx find. The note on the right is actually a pocket card I found on Facebook from Hazel & Ruby (http://www.hazelandruby.com/store/digital/pretty-pocket-cards-3x4-free-printable).

I made this for Tyler, my 6 year-old little brother. It's a Creatology Valentine's Day Pencil Topper. Everything on the monkey came in the 146 pc set except the Creatology Foam Glue I used to glue the monkey's head, the tinsel stem, and everyting else on the pencil. I bought this set from Michaels last year and just found it in my room this past week! Tyler has a sock monkey so he should like this pencil! My dad called Emily and I monkeys when we were little so Tyler is now a monkey, also! ;)

This is also a Hazel & Ruby pocket card that I glued to a piece of kraft paper from the American Crafts Dots & Stripes paper pad. The stickers are Recollections Kids Sticker Book. Thanks for stopping by and have a great Valentine's Day! Your next stop is  http://craftingblogevents.blogspot.com/2014/02/design-team-calls.html

Love Is...

I made the following card for the Lawnscraping Challenge (http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2014/02/lawnscaping-challenge-75-dots-and.html) using the inspiration above, but missed the challenge by a minute. :( I'll have to try the next challenge!

This is the front of my card.
I'm mailing it to my grandmother for Valentine's Day. She was a preacher's wife for most of her life and is now remarried after my grandfather passed away in 2003 of skin cancer- they made it to almost 51 years of marriage. The card base is Studio G. Both PP is American Crafts Dots & Stripes 6x6 paper pad. The butterfly ribbon is American Crafts Premium Spring Pink. The love sticker at the bottom is Michaels Wood Embellishments. The heart stamp at the top is Basic Grey Casablanca Clear Stamps that I won from Helen (http://byheleng.wordpress.com/) from a challenge prize with Scrapping Everyday Miracles ( http://scrappingeverydaymiracles.blogspot.com/) on DCWV Scrapbook Kit in a Stack Love & Wedding Textured Cardstock 8x8 pad. The heart floral arrangement is Autumn Leaves and the butterfly punch is a RAK from an online friend, Ashley (http://marinewifesscrappinlife.blogspot.com/)
The butterfly and flower was a RAK from Nikki (https://www.facebook.com/#!/nicholekoch1?fref=ts)
The floral paper on the right I fussy cut out of Basic Grey Sweet Threads. I'll be back in just a few minutes for my entry to the 13th day of 14 Days of Love Blog Hop! TFL!

Sweet Zoe & SMASH pad entry

I made this 2 page LO following the blueprint above that I found on Crafty Cropshop on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/741503089211449/). The photos are of my cousin's daughter, Zoe, that just turned a year old the end of January. This is the 2 pages together. I'll post the details under each LO.

For the first page of this 2 page LO, I used Recollections Sweet Treats PP. The picture mats and the title mat are all Recollections Butterfly Wings 4.5'x6.5' Cardstock Paper that I cut down to make the pictures and title stand out. The title- ZOE- is Fibre-Craft Materials Glitter Stickers Dotty ABC that my stepsister, Haylee, gave me. I bought both the PP and the Butterfly Wings papers at Michaels. The ribbon is American Crafts is American Crafts Premium Ribbon that I bought from either JoAnn's or Michaels.  The cupcake sticker is Sticko Sweet Treats Dimensional Stickers. The floral bundle and pink fabric popper are goodies I won from Pinque Peacock (http://pinquepeacock.blogspot.com/) from a blog hop that I participated with them. I love their goodies! :) I still have a few in my stash to use. The pictures on this page are of me and Zoe playing in the floor at my grandmama's house on 12-21-13 at her Christmas get-together. The number stickers are Simple Stories Happy Day Expressions Cardstock Stickers that I won from Housecalls by: Scrappin Madge (http://heartstringdesigns.blogspot.com/) August Life of the Party kit, the 1 in 13 is actually a lower case "L" that I trimmed down to make it look like a "1" since there's only 2 "1's" in that design. I had to improvise! The little hearts stickers are Recollections Kids Sticker Book that I bought for my Sunday School class, but they are on the scrapbooking aisle at Michaels so they can be used in both places! :) The little piece over the picture of Zoe is a Studio Calico Wood Veneer Die-Cut Wood Piece "seriously". I chose that because she is such a serious baby! She does smile some, but she has always acted older than she is!
This PP is Recollections Bright and Basic that I used at my crop night- Scraps & Cards this past Friday night. Thanks to Debbi (http://noteablescraps.blogspot.com/)! The ribbon is the same as before American Crafts Premium Ribbon. The photo mats are also Recollections Butterfly Wings as on the previous page. The hearts and flowers stickers are Recollections Kid Sticker Book. The stamped image of the cupcake is Studio G Pinklight Design. I colored it in with Sharpie 80s Glam Argyle Green, Jellie Pink, and Legwarmer Orange and used Brown/Red Sharpies as well. I used VersaFine Onyx Black Pigment Ink and stamped it on Recollections Butterfly Wings. I haven't even put a dent in the pack yet, LOL, there was 100 sheets and I haven't even used half yet, maybe a fourth of the pack! :) The tag is K&Company Tim Coffee Cottage Garden Journal Tag Pad and I added some purple and green twine given to me from Helen (http://www.byheleng.wordpress.com) for winning a prize with Scrapping Everyday Miracles (http://scrappingeverydaymiracles.blogspot.com/). I wrote on the tag- Zoe at Grandmama Farrow's house for Christmas get together. I played on the floor with her for a little bit. She's sitting with cousins- Kylee & Thomas in the bottom pic. Above is Sara, her mom, Tim, Emily, & John (right to left). I used Creative Memories Fine-Tip Classic Pens- Sugarplum, Twilight, Cocoa, and Olive to write the journaling. Oh, I used my XYRON 1.5" Create-A-Sticker on the ribbon, but ran out of adhesive, but luckily I didn't run out at my crop!  Now onto my recent SMASH pad entry that I made today.
These are my Christmas Presents from 2013. The SMASH Pad is Eco Green. My favorite color is purple if you couldn't tell, so I went with these 2 pages! I'll explain the details under each page.

the red little ornament pieces on each page are actually from an EKSUCCESS Ornaments border punch. It didn't punch altogether well, so I decided to cut them apart except for the 3 on the opposite page that looked ok. I used Recollections Butterfly Wings Cardstock again on those and the journaling block at the bottom. I also used my decorative scissors on the edges of the journaling block. I wrote Counterclockwise- Iris Scrapbooking Chest from Mama & Mr. Ray (bought from Michaels- I saw one after Christmas in the store); Newsboys/Restart CD & The Vow DVD from Dustin & Haylee; Donotes, Karen Kingsbury Fifteen Minutes, and bookmark from Mama & Mr. Ray; 2014 planner from Tyler; Pandora bracelet from Dustin & Haylee; and after pic of scrapbook chest filled & still a Food Lion recycle bag to side LO (left over). I used the pen that came with the SMASH pad to write the journaling and the glue end to SMASH everything down.
The stocking is Creative Memories Christmas Stickers. I didn't want to add a whole lot of extras to these pages since the paper is so busy and since I have so many pictures. I still didn't take a picture of what Emily gave me and didn't include the picture of the apron my dad and stepmom gave me. I got the majority of them!
This is just a close-up of the title so you can see it better. I used my scallop edged scissors on Recollections Butterfly Wings Cardstock and the pen from the SMASH pad again. I just bought this SMASH pad at TJ Maxx the first of the year and don't really use it as much as I should. I thought these pics would look better in my SMASH pad than doing a LO of them. I do have other Christmas pics that I will be working on soon however. I wanted to take a break from all the Valentine cards I'm making today! I will be back at them later today! I also have one more post in the 14 Days of LOVE blog hop so I'm gonna be one busy bee this week! TFL and please come back later to see the card I plan on making! I'm gonna follow this week's Monday Mojo Sketch and will have the link for that in the post. Just a teaser! :)

14 Days of Love Blog Hop Day 10

Thank you for joining My Cricut Craft Room and the 14 Days of Love Blog Hop.
You should have arrived from Craft Lovers blog. If you just so happened to stumble upon my blog, please go back to Erica's Room (http://MyCricutCraftRoom.Blogspot.com).
I made a card to share on today's Blog Hop that I am mailing to my grandmama for Valentine's Day. Make sure that you visit Erica's Room (http://MyCricutCraftRoom.Blogspot.com) each day to see where to go for tomorrow's projects.
I used Studio G as the card base and then added (Nothing Like a) Grandmother's Love jpeg file from Scrapping with Lisa Designs (http://www.scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/) and colored it with Sharpies, a pencil for the hair and collar of the grandmother's shirt, Creative Memories Classic Twilight and Olive Fine-Tip Pens, Copic Sketch Too 100 Black for outlining the couch and a little on the little girl's pants, and a Papermate InkJoy black ink pen. The laugh and free spirit stickers are K&Company Emma Rose Word Embossed Stickers, the pink/red hearts are Martha Stewart Crafts, and the cherries are Sticko Sweet Treats Dimensional Stickers. The bird in the top corner is a K&Company Susan Winget rub-on and I used Creative Memories Classic Olive to fix the tree branch since the rub-on messed up when I placed it on the card.

This is a close-up of the grandmother's shirt to show the dots that I drew using the Papermate ink pen and my all time favorite Gelly Roll Clear Star pen to make the spots glittery. My grandmama doesn't wear pants, but does wear a pink with white polka dotted dress a lot so that's what I was trying to mimic. I just realized I didn't add any color to her eyes! LOL! I just added Martha Stewart Crafts Blossom Chestnut Permanent Pen to her eyes since I believe her eyes are brown. I can't remember right now since it's so late! When I added the mouths I thought of when she used to dress up as a clown for our birthdays. It's amazing how something as simple as that can bring back memories! Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me some comments before you go on to Diana's blog.

14 Days of Love Blog Hop Day 6

I'm also entering my card at Simon Says Stamp! The challenge ends next Wednesday, February 12, at 8am so feel free to join- anything goes as long as some sort of twine is used! Which I have done and you will see that when you scroll down. First things first!

Thank you for joining My Cricut Craft Room and the 14 Days of Love Blog Hop. Make sure that you visit My Cricut Craft Room each day to see where to go for tomorrow's projects. You should have come from
Craft Lovers, if you just stumbled across my blog please go back to MyCricutCraftRoom to begin the hop! Now here is my card:

I made this card for my mom, obviously! The card base is Studio G. Wait, before I go on I must confess I have a crop tomorrow night and messed myself by packing my stuff early! The materials I used in this card except for the twine are packed in a bag at my church and I totally forgot to write the names of those items down! With that being said, I'm winging the manufacturer's on this card! Sorry! The Happy Valentine's Day as well as the Love You squares in the inside of the card and next picture are freebies from Close To My Heart (http://cdn.closetomyheart.com/2014/promotions/campaigns/rediscover/1402-rediscover-love-download.pdf) that I found on Helen's blog (http://byheleng.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/new-idea-book-new-inspirations-new-products-new-freebies/). I just printed them out in black and white since our colored ink is out and colored over them with Sharpie 80s Glam Fine Point Valley Girl Violet and Jellie Pink. The red is just a red ink pen I bought from Staples. I honestly can't remember the name of that one. The cherries and cupcake stickers are Sticko Sweet Treats Dimensional Stickers. I just bought the flowers not too long ago, but I can't think of the manufacturer they came with family words stickers. The twine is from a blog prize that I won from Heather (http://heathernovinger.blogspot.com/). Now for the inside.

The Mom sticker is K&Company Emma Rose Word Embossed Stickers. The hearts are Martha Stewart Crafts and the Love You is Close To My Heart as I stated before and I used the Sharpie 80s Glam Fine Point Valley Girl Violet and Jellie Pink again and then went over the outline with BIC Velocity Gel Black ink pen. I'll include a note in between the hearts and Love You before Valentine's Day or on the white side to the left since there's more room. That sums up my card for today! Thanks for stopping by! Please leave me a comment before you head over to your next stop--Diana. I'm sure she has something lovely to share! Enjoy the rest of the hop and have a great weekend!

Absolutely Amazing

I'm entering this layout using the above sketch at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog (http://gloriadesignschallenge.blogspot.com/2014/02/welcome-to-our-first-challenge.html). It's their first challenge! Feel free to join as well! You have until February 16 and you don't have to follow the sketch. The sketch was created by Tammi Bennett (http://www.tjsmemoriesblog.blogspot.com/2014/02/first-challenge-at-craft-hoarders.html). There's even an AWESOME prize pack for a lucky winner! :) Who doesn't love prizes?! Ok, onto my LO! I used Be Blessed Scrapbooking Signature Watercolor Collection Strawberry Sorbet as my background paper that I won from Helen Gullett (http://byheleng.wordpress.com/) and Scrapping Everyday Miracles ( http://scrappingeverydaymiracles.blogspot.com/). Helen is participating in blog hop right now as well so hop over to her blog! The bottom picture mat under the teapot collection is Recollections Blue Scribbles. The top picture mat is Monte PaperMill Take 2 Follow Your Heart that I won from Housecalls by: Scrappin Madge September Hello Gorgeous kit (http://heartstringdesigns.blogspot.com/). The purple/floral strip at the top is Fiskars Heidi Grace Designs A Little Bird's Tale/Row of Icons Double Sided Cardstock Paper that I bought from Big Lots in a paper collection a long time ago. The top green strip I bought from Michaels, but there's not a manufacturer's name on it so I'm gonna say it's Recollections, but it also has been in my stash awhile! The swirly sticker is Sticko Swirly Gigs Dimensional Stickers as are the 3 stickers directly below the journaling. The journaling mat is the same green paper as the top green strip. I used Microsoft Word & Lucida Calligraphy font to type the journaling- The artwork at Duke Medicine Pavilion is beautiful! My dad had surgery Jan 2, 2014 to have cancer removed from his liver/small intestines. The hospital has so much art in the hallways that you forget you're in a hospital. It makes you feel like you're in a museum. These 2 pictures are just 2 examples of that. The hanging flag piece was in a corner going towards Starbucks and the cafeteria. I believe both of these pictures were taken with my cell phone. The 3 pieces of bling are from a little plastic bag full, also from Helen, & I attached them with Elmer's Craft Bond Thin Small Glue Spots. The butterfly is Studio G as is the purple flowers- they're paper flowers that I attached with my XYRON 1.5" Create-A-Sticker Maker and I added a piece of bling from my stash. The pink crinkled ribbon is 3 Girl JAM (http://www.3girljam.com) Cherry Lipstick from the Pink and White Bundle & I used my XYRON again as well as for the next 2 ribbons. I really wanted to use some Pinque Peacock goodies to go with this ribbon, but couldn't find the flower I wanted to use. Don't you hate when that happens? I'll find it when I don't want to use it later- just my luck! The green frilly ribbon is Crate Paper Superior Quality Trims Peppermint Collection, also from Housecalls by: Scrappin Madge, but from the August Life of the Party kit. The brown polka dot ribbon was on a gift I received and I decided to save it for my scrapbooking! Clever, right?! ;) The title- Absolutely Amazing is Studio G chipboard tags/stickers collection that also has been in my stash for quite awhile. That's my LO in a nutshell! :) I hope you see the artistic feel I was trying to create to go along with these pictures! I was up until 4am working on it! I was determined to finish! I started around 5 pm and stopped to eat and watch The Bachelor and Castle. I had most of it completed at 11, but the top borders and  all the extra frills on the right. I was off today and didn't get up until almost 12 and then didn't sleep well. I hope I sleep a lot better tonight! I have to work tomorrow afternoon and then have church tomorrow night! In other words, I have a long day tomorrow! While I have your attention, please come back here Friday to see what I post for my part in the 14 Days of Love Blog Hop! It will be my second post. The first post was Saturday, February 1, just one post down from this one. TFL & see you again on Friday! :)

14 Days of Love Blog Hop

14 Days of Love Blog Hop.... Looking for crafters...

ANY TYPE OF CRAFTER.

This is a totally different hop.

You have to post two times during February 1-14.

It can be ANY type of craft, paper, yarn, thread, paint, gardening, die cut, stamping....

ANYTHING goes as long as it is a craft and you put love INTO it.
I'm entering this card in the January Monthly Challenge with Inspiration Journal (
http://blog.inspirationemporium.com/?p=1958) and the challenge ends tomorrow if you'd like to play along. The only requirement is that you use die cuts or punches. You will see that I used a couple of different punches. Now on with the blog hop!
If you're just stopping by my blog, please go to My Cricut Craft Room to start the hop and with that being said,  here's my card:

This is probably the smallest card I have ever made! I used my We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 Floral Burst Die-Cut Punch to make the borders- outer punch on the left and combination of both on the right. The PP is Paper Pizazz Purple Sponged that I bought from JoAnn's. The heart/butterfly punches were RAK from Ashley (http://marinewifesscrappinlife.blogspot.com/). I made the cupcakes with my Martha Stewart cupcake punch and Martha Stewart Punch Pad. All 3 are adhered with my XYRON 1.5" Create-A-Sticker maker. The stamp is Hero Arts Friends & Flowers- also from JoAnn's. The ribbon is Texture Bobbin Ribbon that I bought from Big Lots years ago. The pink paper behind the floral punch is Recollections Butterfly Wings Cardstock Paper- 4.5x6.5 in that I cut down to fit to the size of my card and I used Studio G Multipurpose Glue Stick to attach it to my card. Now for the inside top spread. The hearts and butterfly punches are also from Ashley and adhered with my XYRON. The PP is Paper Pizazz Purple Happiness, also from JoAnn's. I made the cupcake using the same Martha Stewart punch as the front, but the top is Recollections Cupcake Cuties and the bottom is a piece of PP from my stash.
Now for 3 pictures of the inside bottom of the card. This is how it looks when you open it. The top PP is K&Company Urban Rhapsody that I used my scallop edged scissors to give some extra border to the paper and I will write my note on this paper later. The brad is KI Memories Paisley Parade Epoxy Fasteners.

When I added this vellum sentiment I realized I didn't have room for my note, so I decided to attach the paper this way and here I have a picture of the note PP slid out to the left side of the card. The vellum strip is from DCWV Colored Vellum Stack and I used my XYRON again to adhere it to the green paper which is also Recollection Butterfly Wings. I used my Studio G glue stick to glue the green paper down to the purple sparkly paper- Coordination Gemstones Red Ruby- also bought at JoAnn's.
The sentiment is Friends are kisses blown to us by angels. Unknown. I realize it's hard to see in the picture, but you can see it when you look at the card in person. The heart is another RAK from Ashley and I used my XYRON to attach it as well.
I wanted to show the back since I used the floral border on the back as well. I added a piece of the same pink Recollections Butterfly Wings sheet as before. The heart is from the same RAK from Ashley and attached with my XYRON. This is my signature stamp at the bottom- Hero Arts Handmade from the Heart and I wrote 2014. I plan to give this to my friend, Lisa, who also loves to make cards and is just learning how to make scrap layouts. She loves purple so I can't wait for her to see this card! I usually share every card I make with her by texting her a picture of my cards. So it was very hard not to text her a copy of this! This is actually the first project I have used my We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 Punch on so I'm kinda excited with how it turned out!  Please leave me some comments and become a follower while you're at it. Now you're off to Crafting Blog Events on Facebook. TFL!

A Day At the Beach

I made this card for a swap yesterday and am just getting around to blogging about it. I'm entering this card in  The Sisterhood of Craf...
